Testimonials

NIU College has been a great experience and I learned so much during my 9 month Medical Assisting program. My teacher was very nice, caring and did her best to explain every phase of the program. I also enjoyed my externship and people that I worked with. Beside working at NIU College medical lab and practicing different aspect of the clinical part of the course, I learned so much at the externship and was able to work in an actual medical clinic dealing and working with different patients.

I liked and enjoyed NIU College a lot. During my time at NIU College, I learned every aspect of Clinical Medical Assisting and clearly understand how to take care of patients. My teacher was great and taught me a lot. She was nice and took her time to explain the subject. Between all the teachers that I ever had, she was the best.

Hello.

My name is Faviola. I have a friend that worked in a medical office and I wanted to do the same. I didn't have a lot of money or time so I needed a program that was fast and affordable for me. I am married and I have a 2 year old daughter. When I first visited NIU College, the staff gave me all the information that I was asking about. My husband came in with me and we were happy with the friendly customer service that we received.

We were able to negotiate a comfortable payment plan for my 3 month program.

While I was still in training, the school offered me to extern at a local urgent care for pediatrics. After one month they hired me!

Im very happy with my experience at NIU College. Im just starting out and Im very grateful to do it so quickly and affordable for me.

Thank you NIU College!

19 years old, Canoga Park
"I was raised in the Valley. I enjoyed school. In high school, my GPA was 3.8. After I graduated from high school I enrolled at (junior college). They gave me math, English, history and other general education classes, but I wasn't taking any of the classes that I wanted. I tried another (career college) but it was too expensive for me. Now I am 23 and have a baby and want to make sure we have a good future. Therefore, I have to work and finish my education as quickly as possible. NIU College programs meet my schedule and they are fast and more affordable than other colleges. In a year, I'll be working in healthcare and plan to keep going. I want to be a pediatrician.

The main motivator for me is my child. I want him to see that he can become someone and succeed. I want to be a good example to him. I also want to do better things for my family. I want to thank NIU College for giving me the opportunity to begin my future. (My teacher) is a great instructor. I appreciate the time everybody takes to make me feel welcome. NIU College is a great school.!"

Meet Karla.
Karla is a great student here at NIU College. She currently has an "A" average in her medical assisting classes.

She says "I can't believe that I just came to the US only about a year ago not knowing any English". Born and raised in Guatemala, her family relocated to the US last year. Much of her extended family has been in the Los Angeles area for years and she says "I am glad to finally be closer to them".

She is a little shy because, she says, she has a language barrier. In actuality, Karla speaks reads and writes English as good as most people. Upon arriving to the US, Karla enrolled in ESL classes which were a little difficult for her but her command of English is excellent.

Karla recalls how she learned about NIU College. "I saw you guys at the mall. My brother and I wanted to study together so we could help each other. We also both work so, we needed a college that could meet our schedules. "NIU College programs are also cheaper than other school's" she adds. "Training at NIU College is great. I have a great teacher and NIU College has been more than I expected!" she says.

The medical field is where Karla and her brother see themselves in the future. "One year from now I'll already be working as a medical assistant and I will be able to continue my studies in possibly nursing or X-ray."

Although she has experienced a lot of recent changes in her life including learning another language, like any 19 year old, Karla says "it's exciting".

She says "Life gives you opportunities and NIU College is a big opportunity in my life. I'm happy and glad to study at NIU College. I give thanks to God for this college and for the people who work in it. Thanks NIU College! "
Thanks, Karla.
